Everybody knows that proper sleep, daily exercise, and a healthy diet are a must if you want to stay healthy. But, if you are a career oriented person and are walking up a ladder of success, chances are that you are ignoring these essential elements.
Don’t worry! Staying healthy with a hectic schedule isn’t as much burdensome as you think it to be. Just with extra effort and a little care you can still be health goals.
Sleep Strategically:
If you are working hard, then definitely you have to burn the midnight oil every other day. However, if you sleep strategically you can pull an all-nighter every now and then. Just keep in mind that during the days when you have to stay up all night or the workload is intense, you make out your monthly plan. Sleep around seven to nine hours properly every night before your designated doomsday arrives.
On the other hand, if your routine is always screwed up, you need to take a power nap in between. Various researches have proved that a 15 to 20 minute nap between your intense works will help you stay more active.
High Intensity, But Short Exercise:
If you don’t have time for running or gym, do short but intense full-body workouts. You must know that these workouts burn more calories than separate training of the body. Buy a jumping rope, do burpees, or install a pull-up bar.
Moreover, you can also opt for circuits or high intensity interval training if you want to burn fat and stay fit. In case you are worked up in the end, after your strenuous routine, you can always keep a massage chair and give yourself some time to relax.
Healthy Eating:
If you want to boost your creativity, stay active and agile, proper eating is the main key. Healthy eating affects your creativity more than anything. You need to include a proper amount of vegetables and fruits in your diet, to increase productivity and higher health expectancy.
The question here again is, how to eat healthy in your mind boggling schedule? The answer is that you chop up vegetables on your off day. Plan your week’s meal and replace one meal a day with a protein shake. Similarly, instead of binge-eating junk or snacks, always keep fruits with you so that you don’t get time to eat unhealthy food.
Stay Hydrated:
Hydration and a proper intake of water daily deserves an honorary mention here. No matter if you have got time for eating or doing any other or not, drinking a lot of water is mandatory. It not only keeps you active, but it also maintains your health and prevents your mind from being mobile.
At least take 10-12 glass of water a day in summer. You can also include different healthy juices and fat free shakes in your routine too. If you consume more, that is cherry on top. But, no way are you supposed to neglect water, as dehydration and over-working yourself can have life-threatening consequences.
Remember that soft drinks are a big NO, especially when your schedule is packed from morning till night.
